Chinese and Koreans move on in English football

Seol Ki-hyun has become the third Korean player to join an English Premier League club after Wolverhampton Wolves sold him to newly promoted Reading for an initial fee of more than a million dollars. Seol is the longest serving Korean in Europe and in the EPL will expect to see action against his two compatriots Park Ji-sung of Manchester United and Lee Young-pyo of Tottenham Hotspurs. The 27-year-old winger played two matches for Korea Republic at the World Cup. Reading will have to pay more for him depending on appearances and a sell-on clause for the Wolves, AFCMedia reported.

Chinese international midfielder Li Tie is set to leave EPL club Everton for newly promoted Sheffield United, AFCMedia reported. The 28-year-old was released by Everton at the end of last season after a poor season hit by injuries. Li is currently training with Sheffield's China League subsidiary, Chengdu Blades FC, and expects to join pre-season training in England next week after his visa is received.
