Manchester United game in Seoul quickly sold-out

The 'sold-out' sign has gone up at South Korea's Seoul World Cup Stadium as 65,000 tickets were sold in a frenzy on-line for the commercial tour clash between English Premier League club Manchester United and Korean K-League club Seoul on 20 July. “Demand was huge. 130,000 people wanted to buy tickets so obviously we sold out in a matter of hours," the internet company that organized the sale said. According to goal.com, the crowd will be "2,000 more than saw the national team lose to the Netherlands last weekend."

The Manchester United tour clashes directly with the Asian Football Confederation's prestigious Asian Cup tournament played during 7-29 July in which South Korea is regarded as a red-hot favourite to appear in the Cup Final. The MU game in Seoul is scheduled just the day before South Korea's expected quarter-final clash in Jakarta.
