Thai coach plays down chances to win over China

Thailand's national football team head coach Chanvit Phalajivin has asked fans not to expect too much when Thailand play China in a warm-up match to the AFC Asian Cup 2007 in Bangkok's Rajamangala Stadium next Wednesday. "Because of Thailand Premier League fixtures this weekend, we can only get the players together for training after Sunday. For the match against China I just want to see which players are ready for the Asian Cup and where there are any weaknesses. So please don't expect too much," he said as quoted by the Bangkok Post. He added he would be happy for Thai stars currently playing in Vietnam and Singapore to join the squad, but he does not know whether their clubs will make them available.
