Xiamen football excited about Vision China entry

Xiamen Football Association general secretary Cai Duxin is confident that the Vision China project will help the city build its reputation at the international level and also improve the standard of the game. After returning from the recently-concluded Vision China Football Development Conference in Qingdao, Duxin said: “Xiamen football will receive a dramatic boost and the successful story of Qingdao and Wuhan also proves that the project will also improve city’s international reputation. Participation in Vision China is our top priority now."

Vision China is AFC’s strategic football development project to improve the standard of Chinese football. “The participating cities will have better opportunities to improve their administration, grassroots, women’s football, refereeing, coach education, clubs, marketing, sport medicine etc," he said, as quoted by AFCMedia. “City league is a very important part of Vision China and youth development also plays an important role, focusing mainly on school and youth club leagues. I am confident that the city league and youth events organised here will help us get the nod to launch the project in the city."
